Sky Sports has snatched live rights for America's Major League Soccer games from BT Sport in a four-year deal.

Sky will screen games from the competition from March with added interest in the MLS for UK fans in the new season with Premier League stars Frank Lampard joining New York City FC and Steven Gerrard linking up with LA Galaxy.

Sky's new deal includes:
> a least two live regular season MLS games a week
> the MLS all-star game
> every MLS play-off game
> the MLS Cup final
> at least one game from the new MLS Decision Day.
> highlights shows on TV and goals online.

Sky ambassador David Beckham, who has played in the league, said the deal will take the MLS' profile in the UK to "another level".
