ITV Sport have finally confirmed that Ed Chamberlin is switching channels from Sky Sports to front their live racing coverage.
Chamberlin said he was "absolutely thrilled" to be joining ITV where he'll host regular race meetings - including the Grand National - when the broadcaster takes over Channel 4's contract at the start of 2017.
Chamberlin is best known as host of Monday Night Football and Super Sunday, but is a huge racing fan and used to work for Ladbrokes. He said he was excited about his new job but was also full of praise for Sky in a series of tweets.
Thank you for all the kind messages. I'm thrilled to be joining @ITV & really looking forward to the new challenge. Exciting times ahead— Ed Chamberlin (@chamberlinsport) June 8, 2016
I had 16 years at Sky full of great memories: from wearing pink braces on 90 Minutes, via 9 yrs on SSN, thru to Leicester's incredible story— Ed Chamberlin (@chamberlinsport) June 8, 2016
A huge thank you to the brilliant Super Sunday & MNF teams— Ed Chamberlin (@chamberlinsport) June 8, 2016
He was also congratulated on his new job by rival broadcasters Jake Humphrey (BT) and Clare Balding who currently hosts some of Channel 4's live racing.

Many congratulations to Ed Chamberlin (now @chamberlinsport) on the ITV job. A terrific presenter, a lovely bloke & passionate about racing— Clare Balding (@clarebalding) June 8, 2016
And Chamberlin's Monday Night Football colleague Jamie Carragher even joked he might take on presenting duties!
Gutted to see @chamberlinsport move on but he's taught me a lot hopefully I can put it into practice. Can't be that hard reading autocue!— Jamie Carragher (@Carra23) June 8, 2016
Sky Sports are yet to confirm Chamberlin's replacement on Monday Night Football and Super Sunday.
The Daily Mail report that David Jones, who currently hosts Sky's Saturday and midweek Premier League offerings, is in line for the job.
A Footie on TV poll suggests fans want Jeff Stelling but it's believed his desire to concentrate on Soccer Saturday may rule him out.
