Kelly Cates has spoken of her excitement at a return to Sky Sports.

As revealed by Footie on TV HERE earlier in the week, Cates - who has been co-hosting Channel 5's Football League highlights show - will return to Sky to front live Championship games.

Sky have now confirmed she'll host their Saturday evening matches from the newly-named English Football League (EFL).

Former player Scott Minto will present Friday night and any Sunday EFL live Sky offerings.
Minto will also be at the helm for the play-off games including the Wembley showpiece finals.

Simon Thomas will no longer host EFL games as he's moving to host Sky's Saturday lunchtime Premier League games. He will continue to front Sky's live midweek EFL Cup matches.

Cates was part of the original Sky Sports News team and said: "I'm so excited about coming back to Sky Sports and presenting live matches on Saturday evenings. The EFL is more competitive than ever, and there will be great stories for us to bring to viewers throughout the season. I'm joining a great team and can't wait to start."

Her first live game back in front of the cameras will be Norwich's game at home to Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday, August 13.

Cates will continue to work on Radio 5Live while she has been replaced on Channel 5's new-look EFL highlights show by BT Sport's Lynsey Hipgrave.
