So what is Sky Sports Mix?
It's a new sports channel from Sky launching on Wednesday (August 24), but you don't have to be a Sky Sports subscriber to get it. It will be available to all Sky TV customers as part of their existing subscription.
So is it a bit like BT Sport Showcase?
There are a number of differences to Showcase. Firstly, it won't be on Freeview and you still have to subscribe to at least one of Sky's packages to get it.
And it will also show a lot more live content than BT's Freeview channel.
So what's on it?
Football-wise Sky are promising regular La Liga & MLS action as part of the schedule, but are also promising a selection of Premier League and EFL live games.
In the first week, Burton's Championship game with Derby will be on Mix, Real Madrid v Celta Vigo from La Liga and Toronto v Montreal Impact from the MLS.
Other sports in the first week include the Belgium Grand Prix and the England one-day international with Pakistan.
On average five hours of live sport a day will be on offer.
What's the point of this channel if it's just duplicating things already on the main Sky Sports channels?
The idea from Sky is to offer sport as a taster to their customers who haven't taken out a Sky Sports subscription in they hope they might upgrade.
It also acts as a bonus channel to non-sports subscribers.
Why should I shell out money on the main Sky Sports channels if matches going to be given away for free to other Sky subscribers?
Only a small selection of games will be available on Mix - the full service with the bulk of the Premier League and EFL games will still be only available to Sky Sports subscribers.
Where can I see it?
It will be available to all Sky TV customers (but not via NOW TV) as well as on selected Virgin Media packages. It's on Sky channel 407 and also available via Sky Go.
