League One Final Day on Sky Sports

Sky Sports has confirmed it will show Southend's bid to escape the drop from League One as its final day fixture.

Southend host Sunderland who have already confirmed their play-off place but missed out on automatic promotion.

The Roots Hall club are only separated from the relegation zone by goal difference, but know a win will see them safe.

Some fans have criticised Sky's choice of match suggesting Plymouth v Scunthorpe (who are both in the relegation zone) would be a more exciting pick.

However, even if one of those teams win they could still be relegated which probably explains why Sky have decided to have their main focus on Roots Hall with celebrations or commiserations promised whatever happens.

Goals from the other key matches will be shown during the live game as they happen.

All games kick-off at 5.30pm.

Sky will also have live coverage of a final day Championship match on Sunday lunchtime (kick-off 12.30pm). It will be confirmed after Wednesday night's games.
