Sky Sports has confirmed that Jamie Carragher will return as a pundit in the new season.
It follows his suspension from Sky after he was caught on camera spitting out of his car window at another vehicle.
A Sky spokesman told the Daily Mail's Sports Agenda column: "We've spoken to Jamie and reminded him of the standards we expect at Sky Sports.
"He has shown remorse, is hugely apologetic for the offence he caused and has taken the appropriate steps to make sure the incident will not be repeated."
The Mail's Charles Sale described Carragher as one of football's "most hard-working and well-informed analysts". Sale says the 40-year-old's remorse and his popularity with Sky colleagues was key to him keeping his job.
