LaLiga and Serie A games to be shown FREE on Eleven Sports' Facebook page

Eleven Sports has confirmed it will show one match FREE a week from LaLiga and Serie A on its UK Facebook page.

Eleven - which is launching its UK service on Thursday after snatching Spanish games from Sky and Italian matches from BT - says the free matches will include Cristiano Ronaldo's eagerly-anticipated Juventus debut.

The Facebook streaming is on top of its new subscription service which will also include live Dutch, Chinese and Swedish league action. Some of those games will also be streamed for free on the social networking site.

The new broadcaster - which has launched sports channels across the world in the past few years - will mark its entry into the UK market with live coverage of of golf's 2018 PGA Championships the first two days of which will be streamed on Facebook for free as well.

Eleven is initially offering its service only online via its website and new app. You can subscribe from £5.99 a month with an annual pass also available which works out cheaper.

Talks have been taking between Eleven and Sky, BT and Virgin about the possibility of making them available as TV channels on their platforms but it seems unlikely any agreement will be reached in time for this week's launch.

Eleven are also reported to be taking over the UK rights to show the UFC from BT Sport later in the year, but no details have been confirmed.
